Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ascend mobile application and website at ascendapp.cc (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Ascend ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using Ascend, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Ascend is an identity-first habit tracker that helps you align daily actions with the person you want to become. The Service includes free features and optional paid features under Ascend Pro.
Ascend Pro Subscriptions
Ascend Pro is an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional features, including unlimited identity goals, unlimited daily actions, unlimited history, and future premium features as they are released.
Subscription plans, prices, and billing periods (for example monthly or yearly) are shown in the app before you purchase. Prices may vary by region and are set by the app store where you subscribe.
Auto-Renewal
Unless you purchase a one-time lifetime plan, Ascend Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Your payment method will be charged through the store where you subscribed (Apple App Store or Google Play) within 24 hours prior to the start of each renewal period.
Managing and Cancelling
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or use in-app subscription management where available.
- Android: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date.
Free Trials and Promotions
If a free trial or promotional offer is available, details will be shown in the app at the time of purchase. When a trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial expires.
Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be submitted through the store where you purchased. We do not process payment card details directly and cannot issue refunds on behalf of the app stores.
Restore Purchases
If you reinstall Ascend or switch devices, use Restore in the app to recover an active Ascend Pro subscription tied to the same Apple ID or Google account.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to use Ascend only for lawful personal purposes and not to misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service.
You are responsible for the information you enter into the app and for keeping your device secure.
Intellectual Property
Ascend, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.
Disclaimer
Ascend is provided for personal growth and habit tracking. It is not medical, psychological, or professional advice. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Ascend Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you use the free version.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Ascend after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using Ascend, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
